Our to ISO 9001:2015 Quality; ISO 14001:2015 Environmental; and ISO 45001:2018 Health and Safety certified business management systems provide us with tools and processes to support zero defect delivery and ensure quality control. Our knowledge of the construction phase means we anticipate any issues and mitigate risks, proactively eliminating and rectifying defects. Our straightforward, client-focused process for project delivery maximises quality every step of the way.

Safety is our first priority

A safe and healthy working environment isn’t just on our to do list - it’s fundamental to everything we do. Nothing is more important.

We work with our clients and supply chain colleagues building a safety focused culture across all our activities - consistently developing best practice, improved behaviours and communication. We set annual targets to find ways we can be even better - minimising accident injury rates, reducing lost time from work-related injury and illness, aiming for excellent Health & Safety audit scores and increasing senior management inspections on site.

About Tilbury Douglas

Tilbury Douglas is a leading UK construction, infrastructure, engineering and fit out company. Paragon became part of Tilbury Douglas in 2013. However, Tilbury Douglas’ origins date back to 1884 when brothers Edmund and Augustus Hughes formed London and Tilbury Lighterage Company Limited, which specialised in transferring cargo between vessels.

Between 1930 and 1950, the business diversified moving into waste disposal and buying a civil engineering firm. Further growth occurred after the Company introduced a construction and engineering arm, including expansion into the Middle East in the 1990s.

In 2001 the Tilbury Group was renamed Interserve. In 2022 the Tilbury Group separated from Interserve to become a standalone specialist construction company named Tilbury Douglas Construction Limited.
