Their 25 Cabot Square project enhances the 16 storey first-generation Canary Wharf building by creating additional space and providing 11 floors of modern lettable Cat A faculties.
The extension entailed the removal of the existing stone and concrete parapets on levels nine and 14, followed by the construction of a new single-story extension, providing additional office space and new terraces with unique views of the skyline. The extension was completed with new pre-cast cladding and stick system curtain walling.
The strip out and delivery of the new Cat A fit out took place across levels nine and 14, with a limited fit out to levels seven, eight,10,11 and 12.
The existing main reception on the ground floor plaza area was demolished to make way for another extension, increasing the building line. This was followed by the installation of a spacious new reception and supporting ancillary areas.
With the building’s original owners and occupiers Morgan Stanley in occupation throughout the project, we created a temporary reception and gymnasium for them to use during the works.
We developed a comprehensive logistics plan and construction schedule that ensured our works did not impact on the building’s occupant’s usual business activities.
